National Sun Yat-Sen University Student Conduct Evaluation Method (Revised on 2013.12.19)

 

National Sun Yat-Sen University Student Conduct Evaluation Method

Approved during the 1st Student Affairs Meeting of 1995-Academic Year on 10-11-1995

Approved during the 3rd Student Affairs Meeting of 2004-Academic Year on 04-25-2005

Approved during the 1st Student Affairs Meeting of 2008-Academic Year on 01-09-2009

Approved during the 1st Student Affairs Meeting of 2011-Academic Year on 12-26-2011

Approved during the 1st Student Affairs Meeting of 2013-Academic Year on 12-19-2013

 

First  Student conduct shall be evaluated using this method.

 

Second  Student conduct evaluation shall be performed every semester, the base score shall be 87 points; points shall be added or deducted to the base score in accordance to the student´s conduct performance.

Base Score + Reward/Penalty score = Total actual score

 

Third               Student conduct’s scoring system:

1.      Reward Points:  7.5 points to be added to the semester total score for every Exceptional Merit received, 2.5 points for every Merit and 1 point for every Honorary Mention received.

2.      Penalty Points:  7.5 points to be deducted from the semester total score for every Major Misconduct notation, 2.5 points for every Misconduct notation and 1 point for every Warning received.

 

Fourth              For students admitted in the 100-Academic Year and onward, their conduct evaluation shall be registered using the following ranking system:   

1.      Between 90 to 100 points = A+

2.      Between 85 to 89 points = A

3.      Between 80 to 84 points = A-

4.      Between 77 to 79 points = B+

5.      Between 73 to 76 points = B

6.      Between 70 to 72 points = B-

7.      Between 67 to 69 points = C+

8.      Between 63 to 66 points = C

9.      Between 60 to 62 points = C-

10.   59 points and below = D

 

Fifth                 Once approved by Student Affairs Meeting, this method shall be in effect once authorized the president of the University.  The same procedure shall apply for its subsequent revisions.
